It is used for welding various advertising channel letters such as boutique channeled, precise processed, mirror surfaced, titanium(planed, sphered and precise processed), galvanized sheet, aluminum dimensional, stainless steel (mirror surfaced, wire drawn, sphered, planed, baking finished, spray-painted, solid core, plated and gold foiled), and precise processed metal letters, copper(planed and sphered), red copper letters and antique letters imitated, titanium sheet letters, iron baking finished (stainless steel strip, iron strip, low-carbon steel strip and galvanized strip), etc. and other metal signs and LED metal exterior shells.

This operating principle of laser deposition welding system is a butt fusion technology focusing the laser high heat on a point, which effectively solves all the small parts of welding, and it complements the shortage of traditional tin soldering and argon arc welding technology that avoids the standard requirement of thermal strain and post-process. It doesn’t produce pollution; hence it materially increases the connection strength of metal letters or signage.

Along with the quick development of domestic advertising industry, the metal advertising letters characterize beautiful colors, eye-catching effect, high temperature resistance, weather resistance, indeformablility, unfadability (normally lasts 8 to 10 years), good in corrosion resistance, rain proof, anti-fire, prevention of spontaneous combustion, etc. It has been widely applied. The metal letters are made of different metals such as stainless steel, aluminum, copper, etc. which are processed to produce channel letters with technics of cutting, grinding, enclosing, polishing, welding, etc. However, the most character of the metal letters is no rust, long lifespan, strong dimensional effect, high class, metal quality, free on thickness, graceful feeling, etc. It is enormously applied in LED channel letters, outdoor high class signages, shop signs, door label, indoor signs, etc.

In the past, people are used to apply glue, rivets, tin soldering, etc. to connect seams after bending. However, these methods have defects, although the glue pastes solid but it will degum after long time use especially for outdoor use that the rain and wind will materially affect the glue adhesiveness; the rivets are strong but it directly influence the aesthetic of metal letters and decrease the metal values; as the tin soldering adopts strong acid and high temperature of electric soldering iron to melt for soldering, it gives mass of toxic gas which is harmful to environment and human; and the argon-arc welding causes big deformation by heat hence not suitable for welding thin sheets (<2MM).

However, the laser welding principle is to melt directly the connecting point of metal so that to make them into one body and its welding point is small and environmental, as a result, it makes a perfect integration between the solidness of connection and the aesthetic of metal letters. This is more environmental comparing with the tin soldering demanding strong acid treatment on metal surface.
