Chinasigns tree-planting activities on April 10th, 2010

"Green, low carbon & environment-friendly" is a favored topic frequently discussed by people across the world. After the Copenhagen climate conference, more and more Chinese people show concern on world climate issues. Chinasigns launched an annual spring tree-planting activity, and this year's tree-planting will be the largest ever, with the ever-growing Chinasigns networkers.
On Saturday, 10th of April 2010, a total of 60 workers from Chinasigns and some of their family members  came to Donggao village, 50km from the Beijing downtown area. With the help of local villagers, we opened up virgin soil and planted over 40 different fruit trees including apple, walnut and jujube trees. And local villagers showed hospitality and concern over the good caretaking of these trees.
According to the standard compensate regulation (100KWH/tree) by the Beijing Municipal government, Chinsigns needs to plant 500 trees annually. It is obviously a long way to go for us, but we will make an effort to plant more trees in order to reach that standard in the coming years.
